Isle of Wight Chain Ferry

Seaglaze Marine Windows are pleased to have been chosen as the glazing supplier for the new Isle of Wight Chain Ferry project.

Mainstay Marine Solutions (MMS) were selected as the builder for the project and will be constructing the vessel at their facility in Pembroke Dock, West Wales.

Working in partnership with MMS and also the Designers, Burness Corlett Three Quays (BCTQ), Seaglaze will be producing all of the glass requirements utilising their own wholly owned sister company – Specialist Toughened Glass (STG), who will be producing the laminated sections including CNC machined panes.

Seaglaze Managing Director, Alastair Clayton says, "Seaglaze are proud to be associated with a project such as this. The Ferry will showcase the work of the builder and also demonstrate the capabilities of Seaglaze Marine. This is a major order for Seaglaze Marine Windows and for the Seaglaze Group of companies as a whole"

The replacement floating bridge is being funded by the Isle of Wight Council and the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership as part of the East Cowes Regeneration Project – a major regeneration scheme on the Isle of Wight to create a long term, sustainable vibrant community and better connections to and across the Isle of Wight.
