"This year I took the plunge and decided on new windows for Nerenity, so I approached Seaglaze after having first encountered them way back in 2010 at the London Boat Show.

I wanted to achieve a complete transforamtion of the side windows on Serenity, creating one large window each side, to replace three smaller one and to directly replace the forward windows like for like. I don't know if the folks at Seaglaze thought I was crazy (or a genius!) but they worked with me , offering ideas and suggesions as to how I could get what I wanted. From the outset everyone at Seaglaze was helpful, courteous, friendly and professional.

The service, from consultation at the Seaglaze base in Norwich, where I was made very welcome, through to final completion of the maufactured windows was second to none.

I was kept informed of the progress at each relevant stage and, based on their knowledge and expertise, I trusted the team to produce what I wanted. I wasn't disappointed!

The windows were ready before the anticipated delivery date, even taking into consideration a Bank Holiday and the fact that Seaglaze's stringent QA rejected one piece of glass, which had to be replaced.

I had made the decision to fit them windows myself (ably assisted by Mrs Serenity!) and found that using the templates supplied by the company I was able to accuratley mark the new apertures and confidently take a jigsaw to the sides of the boat.... The clamp-in windows fitted perfectly and easily, matching the double curvature of the hull. Serenity now looks much more glamorous (even for an elderly lady) and we've dispensed with the many cups and bowls we used as water catchers. We have no draughts either!

I can't recommend Seaglaze Marine Windows highly enough! If you're considering replacing your boat windows and you're trawling their website and come across this testimonial, please don't dismiss it as a marketing exercise - Seaglaze truly produces and excellent product and provides a superb service." - Gordon Barlow

"I have fitted various types of metal framed windows in boats over a period of forty-five years it was absolute bliss to fit clamp in windows recently. It took about six hours from try in to fitted stage for seven windows working single handed, added to this was about twenty minutes for cleaning excess sealant off each window. Had these been drilled frame windows I doubt it would have taken two people less than three days!

Seaglaze are very fussy about the fit of patterns which that they send to you try in window apertures and rightly so.

As an advisory, use plenty of non setting sealant but clean excess off within twelve hours because there is a marked degree of "skinning" of it.

Otherwise no problems." David Cox

We do, now, see ships!

"Some 15 years ago we replaced the crazed Perspex windows on our Moody 31 with polycarbonate material as it does not craze and is shatter proof.  However, after a few years they became opaque and needed polishing every time we used the boat.  The frames were also looking their age.  We, therefore decided to fit new windows and were attracted to the Seaglaze welded frame screw-through design using toughened glass.  Although a little more work, the screw-through windows sacrifice no glass area, look traditional and are in keeping with the original appearance of the Moody 31.  The first items to arrive were the templates for checking the cut-outs and polycarbonate panels to fill the apertures once the windows were removed.  The templates fitted perfectly and the windows were ordered.  What a great service we received from Jane Anderson and her colleagues at Seaglaze.  Nothing was too much trouble, the response time to any questions was immediate and the end result is superb.  Glancing through the cabin windows we can now see all about us and the grey tinting keeps the UV and glare from the saloon and looks very smart.  Thank you Seaglaze for a fine product and excellent service."
