Goodchild Marine, located in Burgh Castle in Great Yarmouth, UK, builds a range of commercial craft from its own marina, build and refit yard.
Founded in 1978 and run by Alan and Sue Goodchild, together with Steve and Lisa Pierce, the business employs 34 multi-skilled members of staff.
Pictured is Goodchild’s ORC 171 Fast Patrol Craft, designed by Pantocarene, which features a planing hull with innovative beak bow to steady pitching which enables high speeds in challenging sea states.
In addition to the vessel itself needing to operate in all conditions, it is equally important that its equipment and fixtures are reliable and fit for purpose.
Therefore, the Goodchild Marine design team once again chose Seaglaze to fulfil its windows, hatches and doors on the ORC patrol vessels, to guarantee reliability and performance whatever the weather.
Alan Goodchild, MD comments,
“Seaglaze is our supplier of choice when it comes to any glazed products, as they are of a consistently high standard, combined with superb customer service. For us as a builder, it also helps that installation is also very straight forward.”
He continues, “Like us, as a family business, Seaglaze continually strives to improve its offerings, which is synonymous with the Goodchild Marine ethos.”
Seaglaze has worked with Goodchild Marine since 1996, delivering windows, hatches and doors to many vessels in the Goodchild Marine’s range.
